Staying in contact with people sounds simple until you have to decide who to contact and find something worth saying.

KIT helps with that work.

You give it information about five people from your network. It searches for recent articles, reports, interviews and announcements that connect their interests with your current focus.

For every suitable source, KIT explains why it is relevant and drafts a short WhatsApp message. When it cannot find something worth sending, it should tell you that too.

The aim is to give you a useful starting point for a real conversation. You still decide what gets sent.

Before you begin

You will need an AI chat tool that can:

• Accept spreadsheet uploads.

• Search the web.

• Create or update spreadsheet files.

• Return a downloadable .xlsx file.

ChatGPT or Claude may support these capabilities, depending on the product and plan you are using. You should verify what your chosen tool can currently do.

If you do not already have a personal or business voice profile, you can create one using the voice profiler.

Use an AI tool approved by your organisation. Avoid uploading confidential CRM information unless this use has been approved.

How to use KIT

1. Download and unzip the files

Download the KIT ZIP file and extract its contents.

You should find:

• The KIT spreadsheet.

• The KIT starter prompt.

2. Add five contacts

Open the spreadsheet and add five important people you would like to stay in contact with.

Include as much useful context as you have, such as:

• Their role and company.

• Their industry and interests.

• Current priorities or projects.

• How you know each other.

• Previous conversations.

• Relevant personal or professional notes.

• Their WhatsApp number in international format.

Better relationship context gives KIT a better chance of finding something genuinely worth sending.

Do not invent information simply to complete the sheet.

3. Personalise the prompt

Open the KIT starter prompt.

Add your current professional focus and interests near the beginning. This helps KIT find sources that connect the other person’s world with yours.

Add your voice profile at the end of the prompt if you have one.

4. Run KIT

Open ChatGPT, Claude or your preferred AI chat tool.

Then:

1. Upload the completed KIT spreadsheet.

2. Paste the complete KIT starter prompt.

3. Ask the AI to begin.

4. Let it research and process the five contacts.

5. Download the completed spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet tools can sometimes be slow. If the AI struggles to update the workbook, ask it to display the results on screen in a table that you can copy into the spreadsheet.

5. Review every recommendation

KIT must never send a message for you.

Before using a recommendation, check:

• Is the source genuinely useful?

• Does the link work?

• Is the source recent?

• Does the reason for sharing make sense for this specific person?

• Does the message sound like something you would send?

• Does it give the person enough context?

• Would you feel comfortable sending it as written?

Make any small changes needed before opening the WhatsApp link.

6. Record what went wrong

If a result is poor, work out where the problem began:

• Input data: The information about the person was too limited or broad.

• Research: The selected sources were old, generic or irrelevant.

• Quality rules: KIT accepted something that should have been rejected.

• Writing: The source was useful, but the message did not sound like you.

Change one part of the process and run the same contact again.

Changing one thing at a time helps you see what actually improved the result.

What a good result looks like

A good KIT recommendation should give you:

• A credible and recent source.

• A specific reason that person may care about it.

• A message that sounds natural between people who already know each other.

• A clear link between the source, the person and your reason for sending it.

• Enough space for a conversation to develop naturally.

NO SEND is also a good result when nothing meets the standard.

KIT should help you find worthwhile reasons to reconnect. It should never manufacture a reason simply because the spreadsheet has an empty cell.
